Fintech Sandbox announcement

LONDON, UK — Jan. 20, 2026Sea.dev, an underwriting automation platform for lenders and enterprise credit teams, today announced that it has been accepted into Fintech Sandbox’s Data Access Residency for the 2026 cohort.

Fintech Sandbox is a nonprofit that supports early-stage fintech founders by providing free access to critical datasets and infrastructure through its Data Access Residency program. Sea.dev looks forward to leveraging the data, workshops, and ecosystem to continue building and scaling its platform.

Fintech teams move faster when they can test and ship on high-quality data. Sea.dev’s co-founders know this from their work in small-business lending—a notoriously opaque space where data can be hard to come by. The team is excited to join Fintech Sandbox and use the program to accelerate the product roadmap and deepen their connections with lenders.

With Fintech Sandbox, Sea.dev will:

  • Power deeper underwriting “deep dives” by using partner datasets to give underwriters richer business context versus peers and industry benchmarks.
  • Compress hours or days of analysis into minutes by feeding high-quality alternative and industry data into our agentic underwriting workflows.
  • Improve decision quality and portfolio risk visibility for non-bank and private credit lenders through better metadata and continuous monitoring.

Coupled to our broader strategy, this is essentially: use Fintech Sandbox data to become the underwriting intelligence layer for private credit and SME lenders—fueling our agentic underwriting and continuous monitoring capabilities with high-quality alternative and industry data.
